Community Housing Canberra

Community Housing Canberra (CHC) is the largest provider of affordable and social housing based in Canberra.

Over the past 25 years CHC, with partners, has developed over 1000 new residential dwellings and currently provide a home to over 2000 people throughout the Capital region.

CHC is about to embark on its next phase of growth through a substantial development program, and through expanding its philanthropic licenced real estate agency (HomeGround), enabling homes to be provided for hundreds of new households that need support.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to work with the premier provider of affordable and social housing based in Canberra.

You will play a key part in ambitious growth plans consistent with CHC’s FY24-28 Strategic Plan, supported by Federal and State/Territory funding programs.

You’ll be contributing your expertise on a range of high value and innovative property solutions to the housing crisis throughout the Capital region.

Your key responsibilities will include

• Exceptional service delivery and development of CHC’s tenancy management and property management workforce
• Community building across all CHC’s tenancies
• Working closely with HomeGround Real Estate Canberra
• Advocating on behalf of CHC and the sector both at Federal and State level
• Working with the Development team to make sure properties are fit for operational delivery
