Dr.  Ad Hereijgers, Ritterwald

Ad Hereijgers is Business Development Director of RITTERWALD Consulting. He is heading the Amsterdam office and leading the international Sustainability Team with colleagues from Berlin, Frankfurt, and London. He is the initiator of the pan- European Certified Sustainable Housing Label and other sustainability related services (corporate sustainability strategies, sustainable finance frameworks, ESG reporting and external assessments). He has extensive experience with public and private sector clients in social and affordable housing and urban regeneration in the Netherlands, UK, and USA. And for 10 years, he is a dedicated member of the housing industry platform European Federation for Living.

The professional career of Ad Hereijgers spans over 40 years. Prior to joining RITTERWALD he was partner in boutique consultancy firms for housing and urban planning in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and New York. He serves as trusted board room advisor for strategic consulting, project director for public private partnerships in urban regeneration projects and joint ventures of housing companies and institutional investors. He teaches masterclasses on affordable housing and urban growth strategies and is author of several books, position papers and articles.

He is a housing economist and urban development planner and studied at the University of Amsterdam and City University of New York.
